Hello everyone!

I'm a freshmen at a community college near my home in New York. I've been assigned a research paper and i picked Alternative energy/Sustainability as a topic. I was just wondering if anyone has anything to say about the matter. I know i can just google away and stick my face in a book all day but i want to know what other people in the world besides me think. I'm open to anything you have to tell me.

Thanks.

This past weekend I was blessed enough to have an opportunity to attend the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP) yearly conference. This non-profit organization is dedicated to enhancing the integrity of the holistic nutrition profession through self-governance, educational standards, a rigorous code of ethics and professional registration of holistic nutritionists. Many of the speakers lead excellent lectures packed full of fantastic information.

Life is beautiful. No question about that. But life is also full of terrifying and depressing circumstances. With the constant reminders of environmental and economic devastation knocking at our door, it can be difficult to feel like there is an even slight possibility of creating change. Witnessing the turmoil that our environment endures has left me, at times, feeling heavy and hopeless. The “big picture” can be foggy and feel far out of reach.

Crystal Energy Grid Systems Geometry is a visual affirmation of mathematical relationships. It shows the way energy looks when it takes form. Mathematics defines relationships between one object and another. Since all objects are ultimately energy, it can be said that all energy can be defined by mathematics. Physics uses mathematics to describe the action of energy as it moves through our three dimensional universe. What, then, is energy, which moves beyond three into four dimensions or more? If we move out of the universe of form, governed by three dimensions and controlled by space and time, we move out of body into mind. The fourth dimension, then, must be the dimension of pure thought. Energy is always energy, regardless of dimension. Whatever energy we perceive in our dimension of form must exist in the dimension of thought. The highest dimension of energy must be God. As the energy drops into denser dimensions, each dimension changes the way it expresses and is perceived, but the energy is always energy. The energy of pure thought is magnetic in nature when it moves through three dimensions. Not ferrous magnetic, another type of energy akin to gravity. This is why crystals, similar to magnetic storage for computers, can retain thoughts. All form exists in four dimensions as thought. Those thought forms are pictures of geometric designs.

In an effort to combat global warming, The Fintura Corporation along with MetaBank has developed the GreenPay MasterCard credit card program for environmentally concerned individuals and corporations.

The GreenPay credit card's objective is to reduce carbon dioxide's impact on the environment by neutralizing the "carbon footprint" produced by daily activities (such as greenhouse gases created by burning fossil fuels or from the decomposition of everyday household products.)

To reward consumers for making green-friendly purchases, the UK's Co-Operative bank recently began issuing its "Think Credit Card." The card is made from PETG plastic which is a bit more eco-friendly than the usual PVC plastic that other cards use.

Recently Recalled Toys: Can Those Trusted Toys Be Trusted Anymore?
By Irv Weinberg

'Tis the season to be careful. Recently, recalled toys have become big news: So far this year Mattel has recalled almost 19 million toys for inherent dangers from lead paint, to small loose parts particularly magnets that can be easily swallowed. If two or more are swallowed they can play havoc with a child's internal organs. From Thomas the Tank Trains, to Dora the Explora, and even Sesame Street, this holiday season its buyer beware and who can you trust, like never before.

Even though we all do our best to buy locally, there are always products that we just won't be able to find at the local farm. Sugar, rice, vanilla, coffee, and many other foods that we love are grown in distant locales, making it difficult to determine how sustainably they are produced.

I live with two other people and five animals in a 1,400 square-foot house that includes my workplace. I know that compared to most of the world I live like a queen. I’m aware of this fact every day and I’m constantly grateful (except on really cranky days).
