While we do our best to simplify your Dianovo.com experience, there are instances where you may encounter a function that isn't clear. So we've compiled a comprehensive guide in a question and answer or Q&A (also known as an FAQ) format which should answer the most commonly asked questions. 1. What is Dianovo.com?
Dianovo.com is the world's first social network for green and conscious living and business.

2. What does "dianovo" mean?
Dianovo is Portuguese for "new day" (dia means day and novo means new).

3. How do you say dianovo?
We pronounce Dianovo in the Portuguese manner:

The "i" is pronounced "ee" as in "meet".
The accent is on the first "o".

So it is pronounced "dee ah NO vo".

4. How do I sign up?
Click the "join" link in the login bar toward the top of the page on the far right. Make sure you fill out all the boxes marked with red asterisks, these are required. You must be at least 14 years old to join this service and you must have a valid email address. Upon submission of your registration, an email confirmation link will be sent to you from Dianovo.com, with the subject beginning as: "Member details...". Please check both your inbox and junk mail box (especially if you are using Hotmail or Yahoo), if you don't receive the email within 24-hrs, please contact us for further assistance.

6. How secure is my account and personal information?
Your account information is stored in our database on our server which is protected by a firewall and other software and hardware based safeguards. Your password is encrypted prior to storing it in the database, so it is unreadable, even if someone were able to gain access to it.

7. Do I have to pay to join?
No, basic accounts are FREE and come equipped with a host of features. Premium memberships will also be available soon for those who would like even more tools and options.

1. What is a blog?
A blog is at its simplest, a diary or journal.

2. How do I view/read my blog?
Rollover "my dianovo" in the main menu bar and than select "my blog" from the drop-down menu.

3. How do I post to my blog?
Select "create blog" from the "blogs" menu in the main menu bar above. Make sure you fill out all the boxes marked with red asterisks, these are required. See the blog site tour for more details.

4. How do I read/find other members blogs?
Click on "blogs" in the main menu bar.

5. What is a circle?
It's a place people can gather to discuss and share specific relative interests with each other. Circles are also called "groups" elsewhere.

6. How do I view/create circles?
Click on "circles" in the main menu bar to view circles. Scroll over top of "circles" and than scroll down and click "create circle". See the circle site tour for more details.

7. How do I view photos/images?
Click on "photos" in the main menu to view all the images that everyone has posted.

8. How do I post a photo/image?
Rollover "photos" in the main menu bar and than select "add photo" from the drop-down menu. See the photos site tour for more details.

9. How do I add video to my posts?
You can insert a video that has been uploaded to YouTube.com or video.google.com by simply copying the Web address for the video, and pasting it into the text field when you create a blog posting, news item, events listing, or how to. It will automatically be embedded and show up in your posting.

9. What's the difference between news and submitted news?
The submitted news page shows all the news stories that have been submitted and the news page shows all news that's been voted on by enough members to promote them "up".

10. How do I submit news?
Rollover "news" in the main menu bar and than select "submit news" from the drop-down menu. See the news site tour for more details.

11. What's create change?
Create change enables you to take even greater action by sharing and learning through adding your own how to's and reading others and, by asking others questions and reading their responses. Also look for interviews and information from the experts here.

12. How do I use the create change menu?
Rollover "create change" in the main menu bar and than choose from either "add how to" or "ask a question", from the drop-down menu. You than have several options to choose from via their sub-menu's. Please see the create change site tour for more details.

13. How do I view the events calender?
Click on "events" in the main menu bar.

14. How do I post an event to the calender?
Rollover "events" in the main menu bar and than select "submit event" from the drop-down menu. See the events site tour for more details.

15. How do I view other members?
Click on "people" in the main menu bar.

16. What's the business section all about?
You can interact with businesses (or form your own business profile and circle) through their business circles, and find out more about them through their business profiles. See the business site tour for more details.

17. What's the nonprofit section all about?
You can interact with nonprofits (or form your own nonprofit profile and circle) through their nonprofit circles, and find out more about them through their nonprofit profiles. See the nonprofit site tour for more details.

2. How do I log in?
Enter your username and password in the login bar toward the top of the page in the spaces provided. Click "Login".

3. I forgot my password, how do I get a new one?
Click on the "Request password" link in the login bar toward the top of the page, enter your username or your e-mail address, and click "Email new password".

4. If I don't log in regularly, will my account be disabled?
No. We will never disable your account unless asked by you to do so.

5. How can I stay up to date on news, events, site changes, etc.?
There are several methods you can stay up to date with what's happening at Dianovo.com, including subscribing to Dianovo News (our bi-weekly newsletter), email notifications, or various RSS Feeds.

6. How do I fill out my personal profile?
Rollover the "my dianovo" link in the main menu bar at the top, move down until you are over "my presence" and a menu should appear to the left of your cursor. Rollover to the left and down to "edit my profile", and click on it. Feel free to fill in as much information as you would like to share. You will notice that some information is public, and some is private. We will be introducing tools in the near future for you to designate levels of privacy with your private information, so that you can share it with friends with the proper permission to view it.

7. How do I change my password?
Rollover the "my dianovo" link in the main menu bar and than select "account" from the drop-down menu and click "edit" from the options in the top of the light blue box. Scroll down until you see "password" and type in your new password in the two boxes there. Scroll to the bottom and click "Submit".

8. How do I add a picture to my personal profile?
Select "add photo" from the photos menu above. Upload a new image, and check the checkbox that offers to "Make this my main photo". You can change this at any time, by selecting a new photo that you upload, or editing an image that you already uploaded, and selecting the checkbox at that point.

9. How can I personalize my homepage?
You can click and drag the content modules (light blue boxes) between any of the three columns. Release (click off) your mouse when you're ready to release the module. You'll know you're in a column when a series of red hash marks light up around the edge of it.

10. How do I add/remove content from my homepage?
To add new content modules, click "customize homepage". The modules box will appear, and you may click and drag the module you want to add to one of the columns on the page. To remove content from your homepage, just do the reverse by clicking and dragging the module you want to remove into the modules box. The box will light up with red hash marks when you are over it. Release your mouse to release the module. Repeat as many times as necessary until you're satisfied with your arrangement. Click "customize homepage" again to close the modules box.

11. How do I check/send private messages?
Click on "inbox" in the main menu bar and make your selection from the button options provided.

12. How do I log out of my account?
Rollover the "my dianovo" link in the main menu bar and than select "logout" from the drop-down menu.

13. How do I search for something?
Type the terms or words in the light blue search box in the upper right hand corner of the screen and click "go".

14. Who did the design and programming for your website?
Blue Cobalt created the design, and did the custom coding for our website, utilizing the incredible open source tool Drupal as a framework.
