Why would any coffee house who sells Fair trade coffee also sell coffee that isn't fairly traded?Submitted by worldgoods on October 2, 2007 - 7:25am.
Why would any coffee house who sells Fair trade coffee also sell coffee that isn't fairly traded? If they've recognized 1) that there is such a thing as Fair Trade coffee, and 2) That the difference is so important to the people that grow the crop that they are making a living from, why would they only carry a fraction of Fair Trade coffee? With over 50 brands and countless flavors, it seems like profit may be the only thing on coffee shop owners' minds?

What about electronic waste?Submitted by BethyM3 on February 7, 2007 - 10:24pm.
I know this is a huge issue of environmental waste. What can be done about getting electronics companies (those who produce these items), to contribute to the safe disposal, and/or recycling of these mass amounts of items? ( categories: )
How can I promote green living in the mid west on the budget of a full time student?Submitted by Brandonatmyspace710 on January 29, 2007 - 9:10pm.
Im interested in promoting green living in the st louis area How can you trust that food at the grocery store in cans and boxes that state certified organic is really organic ?Submitted by Shosho on January 11, 2007 - 10:22am.
I see everywhere at the grocery store that more and more products have the certified organic symbol on them. However I wonder how can we trust that they really are organic. It seems like the grocery industry has jumped on the band wagon and this is the new "low carb" fad this year.
Source for organic birdseed?Submitted by bluecobalt on December 8, 2006 - 1:47pm.
Does anyone know of a good source for organic birdseed. I'm wanting to start feeding the wild birds around our house as winter is coming on, and can only find non-organic birdseed. Anywhere in the San Francisco Bay area, or online would be fine. |
